3How long should I anticipate my appointment will take?
The length of your appointment is determined by several factors, such as how much testing may be required or if you will be dilated or require surgery. For non-dilated appointments please plan on about one (1) hour. For dilated appointments, please plan on about two (2) hours. Often, your appointment will be shorter than that, but sometimes not. We will make every effort to start your visit on time; however, due to the nature of our specialty practice, which includes emergencies and unexpected issues, we sometimes incur delays. We appreciate your patience.
4What do I need to bring to my visit?
You will need to bring your most recent insurance information, a list of your medications that includes name, strength, and dosage; any and all eye drops you may be taking; your current prescription eyeglasses if you have a pair; and a pair of your contact lenses if you use them, preferably in their manufacturer packets.
5What hours are you open?
Our Westfield location is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Our Cranford location is open Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
6What credit cards do you accept?
Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, and American Express®. We also accept Care Credit.
7What should I do if I experience an eye emergency after office hours?
Better Vision New Jersey has a physician on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Simply contact either Call either one of our general telephone numbers. You will be asked to leave a message or given another number to call to leave a message. The on-call physician will return your call as soon as possible.
